National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS)

The NDIS was developed to support Australians under the age of 65 with a permanent disability. It endeavours to provide participants with the necessary and reasonable supports required to live an ordinary life. The NDIS helps people with disabilities be more independent, obtain and maintain work, undertake study, and have greater choice and control over how they want to live their life.

MK Health’s clinicians have highly developed skills in the area’s disability, rehabilitation, and restoration. We have been delivering effective clinical services within the NDIS setting for many years and excel at supporting participants achieve their goals through carefully tailored and individualised therapy programs.

MK Health provides holistic clinical intervention services which support, physical, cognitive, mental and emotional wellbeing. We have a strong focus on client centred practice which aligns with the core values and principles of the NDIS with regards to participant choice and control.

MK Health believes that people with disabilities deserve the same access to rehabilitative and restorative therapy services and we understand that the downwards trajectory of frailty and disability can be slowed or reversed if the appropriate clinical intervention are provided in a timely manner.

MK Health has successfully delivered complex clinical intervention services to many people with disabilities and have a thorough awareness of the challenges people with disabilities face as well as a solid understanding of the national disability insurance scheme and associated professional standards.
